Pulmonary Function

Pulmonary Function Testing is done to understand lung volumes and lung and bronchial tree functionality.

Test is performed in patients with asthma, emphysema, restictive lung diseases, tobacco abuse, chemical and other inhalant exposure, asbestos and silica exposures, chronic brochitis, allergic and reactive airway disease and several other infectious and non-infectious lung, pleural and bronchial diseases. This test can be diagnostic in some cases and also helpful in monitoring the effect of a perticular therapeutic modality to understand the patient respose to the therapy and progress.
